Splash
Brittle, rigid and watertight - that is a vase.
​
In this piece, I wanted to give the vase a certain element of fluidity while retaining its common form. The result is a beehive form with ridges to mimic water ripples and glaze literally 'splashed' on the surface.
​
As a splash is always random, no two design will be the same. Hence it gives the vase a unique character.
A "ripple" design is also hidden in the depths of the vase. It almost seem as if there is water in it.
