" have a mind opened by wonder
than one closed by belief "
- Gerry Spence
Jacqueline Loo pursued a course in Object and Jewellery Design at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Singapore.
As a student, she is always eager to learn and expand her horizons. Nothing gives her more satisfaction than being able to connect dots that were once thought to be worlds apart.
In 2017, she had the great opportunity to collaborate with Admira, a laminate company, and her project was exhibited at Singaplural that same year.
Her jewellery collection titled 'Nature, Nook and Cranny' has also been exhibited at NAFA's 'After 2', an exhibition featuring various 3D prototypes.
Just like a Matryoshka doll that opens up to reveal another one within, she believes that design should be a sort of legacy. Whether the object itself is passed down through generations like an heirloom or the ideas surrounding the concept could influence another to create something even better.
At present, Jacqueline is working as a jewellery designer at a small local jewellery design studio in Singapore.
